We are currently accepting girls (grades 6th through 12th), who reside in the City of Passaic, Clifton and Paterson, to participate in programming (after-school sessions, workshops, trips, mentoring, community service, etc.) creating environments in which females cultivate healthy academic and social relationships, recognize their worth, advocate for themselves, and recognize that their leadership and civic duty influence their lives and many others.  Leading Young Women, Inc. initiatives will support girls being more vocal, owning their intelligence, taking calculated risks in subjects such as math and science, and fully immersing themselves in a supportive environment that celebrates sisterhood.

Community Advisory Board Volunteers demonstrate significant leadership capability in the community and are willing to leverage their areas of expertise to benefit the girls we serve through the operation of Leading Young Women, Inc.

Community Advisory Board Volunteers will be responsible for the following:

  1. Assisting with fostering key relationships with leaders and organizations;

  2. Assisting with assessing the needs of the young women in their respective towns; and

  3. Assisting with the promotion and execution of all programs, initiatives, and fundraisers.
